Responsibilities
- Lead a small group of language specialists, reviewers, or leads, ensuring work meets project schedules, quality benchmarks, and content uniformity
- Oversee daily localization tasks involving text, user interface elements, voice-over scripts, and promotional content, working closely with localization producers and content creators
- Assist in resolving and escalating issues related to word choice, tone, style, and cultural relevance, consulting senior leadership when necessary
- Monitor progress on deliverables, bug resolution cycles, and review checkpoints, maintaining clear records and task priorities
- Ensure team members have access to necessary resources, instructions, and background information for effective execution
- Provide feedback and guidance for direct reports, contributing to performance evaluations, training, and professional growth discussions
- Work with cross-functional teams such as LQA, voice-over, and marketing localization to maintain consistent terminology and content flow
- Suggest incremental improvements to workflows that enhance consistency, clarify tasks, and improve collaboration across teams
- Take part in recruiting and integrating new linguistic team members
- Maintain and distribute shared linguistic assets such as style guides, glossaries, and reference materials
- Advocate for language teams during planning sessions, sprint evaluations, and post-milestone reviews as required
