Responsibilities
- Create, deploy, and support security measures for infrastructure, networks, and software applications.
- Continuously observe and analyze systems for signs of vulnerabilities, threats, or security breaches.
- Perform routine evaluations of security posture using penetration testing, audits, and vulnerability scans.
- Set up and oversee Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks to control user permissions.
- Work closely with development, operations, and IT departments to embed security practices across the development lifecycle.
- Build and update incident response protocols to quickly address and resolve security issues.
- Maintain alignment with key regulatory and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.
- Generate periodic summaries on security health, risk exposure, and recommended improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated professional experience of 3 to 5+ years in roles such as System Security Engineer or Security Analyst.
- Solid understanding of network and system security, including intrusion prevention, detection, and vulnerability handling.
- Direct experience configuring and managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and encryption systems.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments like GCP, AWS, and Azure, along with securing containers via Kubernetes and Docker.
- Skill in using scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automating security tasks.
Nice to Have
- Holding recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ is advantageous.
