As an Associate Electronic Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and validating control electronics for cutting-edge hypersonic vehicle systems. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help shape product requirements, advance designs from concept to certification, and ensure robust performance through rigorous testing protocols.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine control electronics architectures through all phases of the engineering lifecycle
- Collaborate with customers, business development, and engineering teams to define technical requirements
- Design, execute, and document verification and validation test plans for electronic systems
- Support technical planning, cost estimation, and project scheduling across program lifecycles
- Present technical findings and design reviews to internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct trade studies to evaluate and refine conceptual designs
- Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with internal and industry standards
- Represent engineering excellence in all technical interactions
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 2–3 years of experience in electronic design and development
- Proven ability to work hands-on with complex electronic systems
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance
- Must be able to work full-time onsite in Elma, NY
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with motor control or power electronics
- Background in aerospace or defense systems
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, DO-254, or DO-160 standards
- Experience with radiation-hardened electronics
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices
- Exposure to embedded systems, firmware, or software development
- Current security clearance
