Responsibilities
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to build, deploy, and sustain a robust data governance framework aligned with enterprise objectives, emphasizing data integrity, protection, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engage internal stakeholders to define precise business terminology, ensure consistent interpretation of core data elements, and connect the evolving business glossary with relevant KPIs and datasets to enable full traceability.
- Record existing data architecture and deploy a Data Catalog solution, leading its integration and refinement while ensuring correct data profiling, lineage mapping, catalog management, and classification to improve data trustworthiness and discoverability.
- Define and manage benchmarks, measurements, and workflows for evaluating, tracking, and enhancing data quality, working with data stewards and owners to resolve inaccuracies and uphold data precision and dependability.
- Develop protocols for managing data ownership, responsibility, and issue resolution, and build a network of domain-specific data stewards to enforce governance policies and standards.
- Articulate the importance of data governance in business decisions, foster a culture centered on data use, and design educational resources and training sessions to increase awareness and adherence to governance practices.
- Deploy mechanisms to track compliance with data governance rules and assess the effectiveness of governance efforts, producing periodic summaries for executive leadership on critical indicators and actions.
- Monitor advancements in industry standards, new technologies, and regulatory updates, participating in conferences and forums as required to support ongoing development and implementation of leading practices.
