About the Role
This position leads sales initiatives within the Financial Services sector, specifically targeting private equity firms. The individual will build trusted relationships with clients, identify opportunities for data solutions, and collaborate across teams to deliver impactful insights that support investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales strategy for financial services clients with a focus on private equity
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Identify client needs and align data and analytics offerings to address them
- Drive revenue growth through new business development and account expansion
- Deliver tailored presentations and solution proposals to senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, insights, and delivery
- Translate complex data into actionable business insights for clients
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape
- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings
- Forecast sales performance and track key metrics
- Ensure client satisfaction and long-term retention
- Advocate for client needs internally to shape product development
- Stay informed on regulatory changes affecting financial services
- Support the development of sales tools and pitch materials
- Work closely with marketing to align campaigns with sales goals
- Provide input on pricing and packaging strategies
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms
- Monitor client usage and identify expansion opportunities
- Serve as a trusted advisor on data-driven decision making
Nice to Have
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline
- Prior experience in a B2B data or research organization
- Existing network within private equity or alternative investments
- Experience selling subscription-based analytics platforms
- Familiarity with NielsenIQ or similar industry offerings
