About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead project controls strategy for rail infrastructure developments from initiation through completion
- Oversee development and maintenance of cost estimates and budgets
- Manage preparation and updating of detailed project schedules
- Ensure integration of cost, schedule, and risk data across project systems
- Develop and enforce project controls processes and procedures
- Provide regular performance reporting to project leadership and stakeholders
- Monitor cost variances and recommend corrective actions
- Track progress against milestones and deliverables
- Support change management processes for scope and budget adjustments
- Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning
- Ensure compliance with contractual reporting requirements
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Review contractor-submitted project controls data for accuracy
- Mentor junior project controls staff and build team capability
- Implement digital tools and software for controls automation
- Facilitate project controls audits and assurance reviews
- Prepare forecasts for final cost and schedule outcomes
- Work with finance teams to align project data with accounting systems
- Ensure data integrity across multiple project platforms
- Support dispute resolution with contractors through data analysis
- Maintain version control of project baselines
- Deliver training on project controls standards to project teams
- Advise project managers on controls-related risks and opportunities
