Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of the organization's AI governance structure
- Ensure adherence to changing legal, ethical, and safety standards related to artificial intelligence
- Supervise the development, rollout, and ongoing management of an AI governance system consistent with regulatory expectations and industry norms
- Develop and uphold policies, procedural guidance, and records supporting ethical AI tool deployment
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to embed AI governance within current risk and compliance protocols
- Evaluate and address AI-specific clauses in client engagement agreements and external counsel directives
- Offer specialized counsel to internal departments and external clients on AI compliance and governance issues
- Interact with clients as needed to clarify policies on Generative AI use and governance practices
- Safeguard all confidential, privileged, financial, sensitive, or proprietary data held by the firm
