About the Role
This position leads the development and execution of scientific communication strategies to support clinical development, regulatory submissions, and external stakeholder engagement through clear, compliant, and impactful scientific messaging.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations for publication in peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences.
- Collaborate with clinical and regulatory teams to develop documents supporting trial applications and regulatory filings.
- Ensure scientific accuracy and consistency across all external and internal communications.
- Develop communication plans aligned with product development milestones and clinical data releases.
- Serve as a scientific liaison between research teams and external partners, including contract research organizations.
- Oversee medical writing activities, including drafting, editing, and quality control of documents.
- Manage timelines and deliverables for publication planning and dissemination activities.
- Provide input on scientific messaging for investor materials and press releases.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical data and emerging research in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, industry standards, and ethical publication practices.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align communication strategies with business objectives.
- Review and approve scientific content developed by external vendors and agencies.
- Support the development of training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of scientific communication initiatives.
- Mentor junior staff and manage external writing resources as needed.
- Evaluate the impact of communication activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Stay current with trends in scientific publishing and medical communication best practices.
- Ensure proper attribution and disclosure in all scientific materials.
- Participate in due diligence and partnership discussions requiring scientific input.
- Assist in preparing responses to scientific inquiries from external parties.
