Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for oligonucleotide and peptide drug development, targeting companies that could benefit from WuXi TIDES CDMO services.
- Arrange and conduct meetings at conferences and via email, phone, or web conferencing to present WuXi TIDES services to prospective and existing clients.
- Travel to local client meetings when feasible.
- Participate in trade shows to enhance WuXi TIDES visibility and generate leads.
- Act on, refer, and follow up on leads from sales and marketing campaigns.
- Promote WuXi TIDES marketing initiatives, including scheduling trade show meetings and encouraging webinar and seminar registrations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, funding, regulatory changes, mergers and acquisitions, licensing of products and technologies, government and private grants, new drug development and approvals, patent grants and notifications, and market growth across small, mid, and large cap companies.
- Build a professional network of industry contacts through LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Propose innovative ideas to improve performance toward WuXi TIDES goals.
- Record information in the Client Relationship Management system, including contacts, pre-screened and qualified leads, and new account details as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with professional training or experience in business areas such as marketing or sales.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in oligonucleotide or peptide new drug development or within the CRO or CMO industry.
- Self-starter with self-motivation, high flexibility, and strong communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Capable of working in a professional environment and exercising judgment based on the complexity of situations.
Nice to Have
- PhD is highly desirable.
- Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
