Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to regulations set by FEMA and IFSCA
- Prepare and submit GST returns including GSTR-1, 3B, 9, and 9C, along with TDS/TCS filings and advance tax payments
- Handle tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes related to customers and vendors
- Collaborate with statutory and internal auditors to ensure audits are completed on schedule
- Lead daily bookkeeping tasks and generate monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and prepare elimination entries
- Maintain financial records in compliance with applicable Indian Accounting Standards
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and escrow accounting functions
- Administer multi-currency bank accounts and track exposure to foreign exchange fluctuations
- Produce monthly cash-burn analyses and short-term financial forecasts
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of escrow accounts across all company products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and oversee banking operations
- Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for all finance-related processes
- Operate and manage ERP and accounting software platforms such as Tally and Zoho Books with strict access controls
- Support initiatives to automate reconciliation processes, reporting, and other workflow improvements
