Responsibilities
- Lead on fabric sourcing strategies across Pakistan and regional supply markets, delivering the best balance of quality, cost, speed, sustainability, and innovation.
- Manage supplier relationships with fabric mills, yarn suppliers, and garment manufacturers across Bangladesh and the wider sourcing region.
- Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers that can meet business requirements, while supporting supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Drive fabric sourcing initiatives that improve quality, cost, lead times, sustainability, and innovation.
- Support fabric costing and sourcing decisions by gathering market intelligence and assisting with supplier negotiations.
- Partner with Buying and Design teams to source and develop fabrics for seasonal and core product ranges, ensuring development timelines are met.
- Research fabric innovations and technologies, including new fibres, finishes, and manufacturing processes, while maintaining approved material libraries.
- Support end-to-end fabric development and production readiness, tracking progress, resolving quality or supply issues, and helping suppliers achieve right-first-time standards.
- Promote sustainability, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration by supporting ethical sourcing requirements, monitoring supplier standards, and working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver fabric strategies and continuous improvements.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting fabric development with mills (from concept through to production is advantageous).
- Understanding of sustainability, traceability, compliance, and responsible sourcing principles within the textile industry.
- Degree qualification in Textile Technology, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Fluency in English and local language preferred.
