Responsibilities
- Lead the technical and project management team in defining engineering strategies for major systems and supervise vendor execution.
- Evaluate concept viability, define project scope, assess and select vendors, manage vendor performance, identify and reduce risks, plan field installation, and oversee field testing and system acceptance.
- Integrate financial, timeline, and creative limitations into all technical decisions.
- Provide hands-on engineering input to ensure compliance with codes, standards, internal specifications, and project objectives.
- Review and authorize all ride and show work scopes and request for proposal documents.
- Evaluate and develop technical plans and progress for assigned projects.
- Ensure adherence to company technical standards, specifications, and contracting practices.
- Guide technical teams in identifying and addressing project and scheduling risks.
- Lead efforts to obtain California Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) approval for new attractions.
- Support initiatives related to patent filing and legal protection of technical innovations.
- Ensure accessibility compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act for rides and shows.
- Design and implement technological advancements that improve accessibility.
- Advance safety performance across all project phases.
- Track regulatory and internal standard compliance, create new safety technologies, and align protocols with industry-leading practices.
- Understand and actively engage in environmental, health, and safety duties by following company policies, procedures, training, and team initiatives.
- Carry out additional tasks as needed.
