AECOM is hiring an Architectural Inspector

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all architectural engineering activities to ensure alignment with inspection plans, technical drawings, codes, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with senior and fellow engineers and managers to offer guidance and support as needed.
  • Evaluate and manage work variations to minimize delays and cost overruns.
  • Review contractor-submitted documents and shop drawings to identify and resolve issues affecting architectural system integrity or performance.
  • Verify contractor adherence to the approved Quality Control Plan.
  • Supervise inspection protocols established for on-site architectural work evaluations.
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained during architectural installations.
  • Generate progress reports on architectural components of the project.
  • Support timely acquisition of NOCs from authorities when delays occur.
  • Keep comprehensive site records, including daily logs in required formats and monthly progress photos.
  • Accelerate client approvals when delays threaten project timelines.
  • Coordinate with contractor management to speed up document submissions and approval cycles.
  • Conduct or assess quality tests on architectural finishes and building components through detailed site inspections, based on approved drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect placement, positioning, and quality of architectural finishes and structural elements in the field.
  • Work with on-site teams to ensure fulfillment of contractual requirements.
  • Carry out inspections of architectural work and materials.
  • Issue non-conformance reports to contractors and support corrective measures.
  • Ensure inspection reports are precise and meet regulatory and project standards.
  • Verify all construction and inspection activities follow the inspection plan, drawings, codes, and specifications.
  • Confirm architectural work meets design intent, specifications, and project schedule.
  • Prepare daily logs and progress reports.
  • Maintain records of all submittals, testing inspections, tests conducted, and work completed.
  • Follow the Contract Administration Procedures Manual in all tasks.
  • Support inspections of finished construction work.
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
