About the Role
The Audio Annotation Verifier is responsible for assessing the quality of annotated audio data in Colombian Spanish, identifying errors, and ensuring compliance with project guidelines to support machine learning development.
Responsibilities
- Review transcribed audio clips for correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Verify time alignment between audio segments and corresponding text
- Identify and flag inaccurate or inconsistent annotations
- Follow detailed quality assurance protocols for data validation
- Provide feedback on annotation patterns requiring correction
- Ensure adherence to linguistic standards specific to Colombian Spanish
- Report recurring issues to the project coordination team
- Maintain consistent evaluation standards across assigned tasks
- Complete assigned verification batches within set timeframes
- Collaborate with team leads to clarify ambiguous cases
- Track and document errors for process improvement
- Adapt to updated annotation guidelines as needed
- Preserve data confidentiality and follow security protocols
- Use annotation tools to navigate and assess audio files
- Meet quality and productivity benchmarks regularly
- Participate in training refreshers when required
- Communicate challenges related to tool usability or data access
- Support consistency checks across multiple annotators
- Validate speaker labels and emotional tone tags where applicable
- Confirm proper handling of sensitive or non-text content in audio
- Ensure metadata matches associated audio recordings
- Flag non-compliant audio files such as off-topic speech or poor quality
- Assist in refining quality scoring rubrics
