Responsibilities
- Create and improve software applications for UAS operations and mission execution.
- Add features and fix defects according to requirements, design guidance, coding standards, and quality processes.
- Participate in technical reviews to ensure software quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Plan, develop, and run unit, integration, and system tests to verify functionality and compliance with requirements.
- Support system verification and validation by defining test objectives, methods, success criteria, and data collection needs.
- Build and maintain internal tools and automation to enhance development, testing, verification, troubleshooting, and operational workflows.
- Identify, investigate, and report software defects, integration issues, and system anomalies.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate software and support lab, ground, and flight test activities.
- Prepare technical documentation such as test procedures, test reports, release notes, and troubleshooting guides, and assist with configuration management and release processes.

Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
