About the Role
The role involves delivering technical support to customers during design-in phases, resolving application challenges, and enabling the adoption of advanced semiconductor products through deep system-level knowledge and collaboration across engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to customers integrating semiconductor devices into end systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software integration issues.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to relay customer feedback and requirements.
- Support the development of reference designs and evaluation platforms.
- Assist in debugging system-level problems involving microcontrollers, power management, and connectivity solutions.
- Create application notes, design guides, and other technical documentation.
- Engage in pre-sales activities by demonstrating product capabilities and performance.
- Evaluate new semiconductor products for real-world application suitability.
- Work with customers to optimize designs for power, performance, and reliability.
- Stay current with evolving industry standards and technological trends.
- Participate in technical training programs for field teams and partners.
- Support root cause analysis for product failures in customer environments.
- Facilitate smooth transitions from design phase to mass production.
- Contribute to product definition by sharing market and customer insights.
- Interface with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and quality assurance.
- Conduct on-site or virtual technical workshops for customer engineering teams.
- Assist in qualifying customer designs for long-term manufacturability.
- Analyze customer schematics and layout for compliance with best practices.
- Support compliance testing and certification processes for end equipment.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal development teams.
- Promote design-for-test and design-for-reliability principles.
- Troubleshoot firmware and driver-level issues in embedded systems.
- Assist in the creation of software development tools and libraries.
- Respond to technical inquiries within defined service level agreements.
- Track and document technical support cases for continuous improvement.
