About the Role
The role involves providing engineering support for AOCS systems and pointing activities across satellite missions, focusing on system performance, anomaly resolution, and operational data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze AOCS telemetry and performance data during satellite operations
- Support real-time satellite attitude control during critical mission phases
- Troubleshoot anomalies related to pointing accuracy and attitude determination
- Perform post-maneuver analysis to verify pointing performance
- Generate reports on system behavior and operational outcomes
- Collaborate with mission control teams during routine and contingency operations
- Validate AOCS algorithms and software updates
- Assist in the preparation of operational procedures and checklists
- Evaluate sensor and actuator performance within the control system
- Contribute to mission readiness reviews and system validation tests
- Analyze orbit and attitude data to ensure mission requirements are met
- Support calibration activities for onboard sensors
- Participate in failure detection, isolation, and recovery processes
- Provide input for system improvements based on operational experience
- Maintain documentation for AOCS-related processes and results
- Work with ground segment teams to ensure data consistency
- Assist in the integration of new spacecraft into operational phases
- Monitor system health and issue alerts when thresholds are exceeded
- Support pre-launch simulations and operational readiness tests
- Conduct trend analysis on system parameters over time
- Participate in anomaly investigation boards when needed
- Ensure compliance with mission-specific AOCS performance standards
- Interface with spacecraft manufacturers for technical clarification
- Contribute to the development of automated monitoring tools
- Support end-of-life operations involving attitude control
