Responsibilities
- Direct market landscaping and competitive analysis, including product pipelines, registration status, pricing, and market share, across health sectors such as lead poisoning, neonatal health, nutrition, malaria, and diagnostics.
- Create multi-country demand forecasts and financial analyses to guide market access strategies.
- Conduct research and analysis on regulatory policies, including registration pathways with stringent regulatory authorities, African national bodies, and WHO prequalification, for assigned health product areas.
- Produce high-quality market analyses, reports, and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Assist in designing and implementing market-shaping interventions.
- Manage supplier engagement through primary research, such as site visits, industry conferences, and expert interviews, to evaluate supplier capabilities, quality systems, and partnership suitability.
- Oversee project execution.
- Collaborate closely with CHAI global team members across various disease programs and multiple LMIC country offices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in public health, biology, economics, finance, political science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2–4 years of full-time work experience in international organizations, the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, management consulting, financial services, market research, or similar professional roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and AI tools.
- Strong quantitative, market, and financial analysis skills, with comfort in Excel-based modeling and generating data-driven evidence for decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication for technical teams, donors, and senior leadership.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, work independently and collaboratively in a small, fast-paced team, and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new fields and take on diverse tasks.
- Ability to work proactively and independently without extensive structural or operational support.
- Familiarity and productivity in remote-working settings.
- Experience working or living in China.

- Experience collaborating with global, cross-cultural teams is preferred.
- Prior exposure to international organizations or multinational teams is a plus.
