Societe Generale is hiring an Analyst to join our compliance operations team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for handling alerts generated by the Sanction Screening filtering platform for the SG Group scope. You will participate in analyzing Group Compliance filtering instructions, platform evolution projects, and quality controls, playing a key part in our global financial security framework.

What You'll Do

• Handle all alerts generated by the Filtering platform within the sanctions/embargos filtering framework.
• Analyze the relevance of alerts generated in real-time transaction screening and escalate relevant cases to Level 2 compliance.
• Perform Level 1 analysis on alerts generated by the filtering of third parties' databases against sanctions/embargoes lists.
• Conduct research on companies, entities, and individuals using internal company resources and external web platforms.
• After a 6-9 month training period, participate in analyzing the filtering guideline from Group Compliance and communicate with OFAC-AMER on ambiguous cases.
• Translate the filtering guideline into concrete actions for operational alert processing and answer team member questions.
• Review and respond to queries related to payments on hold due to sanction implications.
• Present a synthetic vision of the operational application of the guideline to management.
• Participate in evolution projects concerning the Filtering platform and filtering processes.
• Act as a 'pilot' within the alerts managers team on platform new features.

• Willingness to learn and upskill continuously.
• Ability to support across all shifts to support from Asian to the US markets.
• Good written and oral communication, with ability to write detailed investigation reports.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of SWIFT and FEDWIRE.
