esmeraPartners GmbH is seeking an Analyst / Associate M&A and Financing | Renewable Energy (m/w/d) to support a range of mandates across Europe. You will join a dynamic team in a future-oriented market, taking ownership of financial analysis and client projects from the outset.
What You'll Do
- Support financing and M&A mandates in the renewable energy sector across Europe.
- Independently create, review, and develop integrated financial models.
- Create profitability analyses, return calculations, sensitivity analyses, and stress tests for renewable energy investments.
- Analyze purchase, sale, financing, and due diligence documents; create internal and external decision templates, valuation frameworks, teasers, and information memorandums.
- Conduct market and company research as well as strategic analyses focused on renewable energy.
- Lead smaller projects or sub-projects and communicate directly with clients.
What We're Looking For
- Completed university degree in business administration, economics, law, or a comparable program.
- For Analyst level: First professional experience or relevant internships in M&A, financing, or financial modeling.
- For Associate level: At least two to three years of professional experience in M&A, financing, or financial modeling, e.g., at a bank, auditing firm, M&A consultancy, private equity/venture capital firm, or in fund/asset management.
- Solid knowledge of financial modeling.
- Very good analytical skills, numeracy, and a structured and precise way of working.
- Negotiation-level German and English language skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Ideally with VBA knowledge.
- Additional foreign languages.
