Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Compensation Range: $20.94 - $33.59 Final compensation may fluctuate within this range based on candidate's professional background, capabilities, credentials, and internal compensation considerations. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) Shift Hours: M-F 7:30am-5:30pm (variable); Sat-Sun 8am-12pm Shift Type: 1 - Day Shift, 8 Hours (United States) Weekly Hours: 40 Department: 10020 - 4180 Pediatrics Clinic Union Affiliation: SHARE (State Healthcare and Research Employees) A potential signing bonus may be available, with eligibility confirmed during interview process. Major Responsibilities: - Welcome patients for scheduled and urgent care appointments - Verify patient demographic and insurance information - Potentially collect patient co-payments - Obtain treatment consent signatures from patients/guardians - Evaluate patient requirements including financial counseling, translation services, social support, and provide appropriate referrals Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: - High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree Experience/Skills: Required: - 1 year related experience (waived with Associate's/Bachelor's degree) - Proficiency with specialized software and computer systems - Ability to perform multifunctional tasks under high-stress conditions - Demonstrate professional behavior and superior communication skills Preferred: - Understanding of medical office procedures and terminology All qualified candidates receive equal employment consideration regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
