About the Role
The role centers on leading targeting-driven investigations against sophisticated scam operations by executing legal process, analyzing multi-source data, and delivering high-impact intelligence to internal teams and law enforcement. Analysts operate the intelligence flywheel daily, transforming data into operational insights that dismantle criminal networks.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle legal process against scam infrastructure and transform results into actionable targeting intelligence for internal and external partners.
- Map scam operations across geographic and operational dimensions by integrating blockchain analysis, OSINT, telemetry, and commercial data to expose key actors and behaviors.
- Operate the intelligence lifecycle at scale, processing high volumes of data and feeding victim and suspect information into intelligence and product systems.
- Leverage individual incidents to uncover broader criminal ecosystems, expanding investigations from single victims to full networks.
- Collaborate with threat intelligence and leadership teams to convert disruption strategies into targeted packages that shape federal enforcement actions.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in all-source investigation or targeting roles, including federal law enforcement (e.g., FBI, HSI, IRS-CI, Secret Service), Intelligence Community analysis, or comparable private sector work.
- Direct experience drafting and managing U.S. legal process and using resulting data operationally.
- Proven ability to think tactically and creatively, expanding from isolated data points to comprehensive network assessments.
- Skilled in link and pattern analysis to connect disparate data sources and produce credible, defensible target dossiers.
- Excellent written communication abilities, particularly in producing memos, attribution reports, and law enforcement-ready leads.
- Mandatory fluency in AI tools: must actively use AI to synthesize data, draft outputs, and accelerate analysis, with demonstrable impact on workflow.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Must reside in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia region, with availability for periodic in-person collaboration and travel.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency is beneficial but not required; on-chain skills are taught in-house, but investigative intuition is essential.
