Responsibilities
- Create and implement artificial intelligence-based systems to support compliance operations
- Develop agentic process flows using n8n, Claude API, Python, and MCP that perform real actions within compliance workflows, incorporating human review and approval stages
- Design and deliver technology solutions for key compliance functions including alert triage, case summary creation, regulatory update summaries, EDD report generation, and audit-compliant records
- Develop automated analytics platforms that generate consistent, high-quality risk intelligence for compliance leadership and regulatory bodies
- Use AI methods for analyzing text, detecting transaction patterns, and automating processes to extract meaningful insights from large datasets
- Integrate error management, audit logging, regulatory calendar awareness, and human oversight points into all production-grade systems prior to deployment
- Ensure all automated systems adhere to data handling policies for personally identifiable information, regulated financial records, and cross-border privacy laws such as GDPR and AML data retention requirements
- Assess and categorize automation projects by risk level before initiating development
- Maintain comprehensive audit logs and system documentation for all tools handling regulated data, suspicious activity reporting, or sanctions-related procedures
- Pause or rework automation initiatives that pose unacceptable legal, regulatory, or data privacy risks
- Take ownership of risk-based decisions and obtain organizational approval before moving forward
- Represent compliance interests in shaping governance policies, model risk frameworks, and alignment across enterprise automation initiatives
- Develop clear documentation, workflow blueprints, and operational guides that compliance staff can use and maintain independently
- Educate compliance personnel on using AI-enhanced tools and workflows currently in production
- Focus on driving user adoption and effective utilization, not just technical delivery
- Measure and report outcomes of automation efforts, including reduced alert review times, increased case processing volume, shorter regulatory reporting cycles, and freed capacity for high-risk analysis
- Amplify the effectiveness of the compliance team by enabling analysts to prioritize complex, judgment-intensive investigations through process optimization and AI support
