Responsibilities
- Establish and grow a customer network in the aerospace and defense sector across the Mid-Atlantic, including prime contractors, Tier 1 suppliers, government agencies, and research institutions
- Design and implement a regional sales strategy in alignment with marketing and sales teams to increase brand recognition and trust in defense testing circles
- Identify and assess new business opportunities in EMC, environmental, reliability, and wireless testing via direct outreach, networking, and event participation
- Lead the end-to-end sales process from initial contact to contract award, including proposal development and negotiation
- Collaborate with business development and market intelligence staff to use procurement data for targeting high-potential programs
- Act as a technical liaison between clients and laboratory teams, converting testing needs into service deliverables
- Participate in on-site witness testing as the primary point of contact for customer interactions
- Assist in preparing technical proposals, statements of work, and capability briefings specific to defense program demands
- Advise clients on compliance with key military and aerospace testing standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and RTCA/DO-160
- Uncover untapped market segments in the Mid-Atlantic defense and aerospace landscape and create focused account plans
- Promote the company at defense-related trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Deliver market insights to leadership to guide investment in new testing capabilities and service offerings
- Ensure all customer interactions comply with ITAR and CMMC regulations in coordination with compliance personnel

- On-site presence is required to facilitate witness testing and maintain customer relationships
- Regular participation in industry events, networking activities, and outbound prospecting is expected
