Join Merative as an Advisor, Configuration / Release Engineering and play a key role in our mission to improve medication safety and clinical decision-making. You will manage the release life cycle and maintenance planning for the critical Micromedex portfolio within Engineering, ensuring product releases are delivered predictably with high quality while maintaining stability in production environments.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain the overall release strategy, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables for all Micromedex software releases.
- Coordinate release schedules, cycles and activities across multiple disciplines to ensure timely delivery of software.
- Manage and document release plans, including content, timelines, metrics and dependencies ensuring transparency for all stakeholders.
- Manage maintenance backlog to ensure prioritization of issues, effective triage, release planning, and clear communication.
- Collaborate with support, product, engineering, operations and QA teams to ensure all release criteria are met.
- Identify, document, and mitigate risks that could impact the release schedule or quality.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on release status, risks, and outcomes.
- Play your part in incident management ensuring timely response and evaluating mitigation options.
- Oversee post-release evaluations to gather feedback and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Monitor and maintain deployment environments, ensuring their readiness for upcoming releases.
- Act as the primary point of contact during release activities, coordinating efforts to resolve issues.
- Partner with leadership in transforming the engineering organization leading projects to deliver desired outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Deep domain knowledge in clinical support decision systems.
- Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated ability with software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices for healthcare.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian collaboration suite (Jira and Confluence).
- Fluent in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or proven industry experience.
- 12+ years applicable experience in software development.

- Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies to ensure seamless release execution.
