Responsibilities
- Verify and record customer payments and related transactions
- Manage and update financial customer master data
- Periodically assess customer credit limits
- Prepare written communication for overdue accounts and collection efforts
- Conduct routine follow-ups with customers and escalate delinquent accounts to sales when needed
- Identify customers in default by analyzing account activity and payment patterns, reporting issues promptly
- Perform periodic reconciliation of accounts receivable
- Match customer balances with general ledger receivables
- Assist in month-end closing procedures
- Support tax compliance by preparing documentation for TCS, TDS, and GST filings
- Aid in statutory and tax audits by preparing required schedules
- Carry out additional assigned tasks as needed
- Respond promptly to customer financial inquiries
- Support financial reporting and analytical activities
- Archive invoices systematically for efficient future access
- Coordinate with banks on fixed deposit management, GR waiver processing, and IDPMS/EDPMS clearance
- Process payments for suppliers, payroll, taxes, and duties
- Generate daily bank reconciliation statements
- Produce monthly cash flow reports
- Monitor daily cash levels and liquidity
- Maximize returns on idle cash through short-term investment strategies
- Ensure adequate funding for daily operations and capital expenditures
- Adhere to local regulations regarding foreign exchange transactions and settlements
- Report overdue import payments to regulatory authorities as required under RBI and FEMA guidelines
- Collaborate with internal departments to maintain accurate accounting records
