Evident Europe GmbH is hiring an Accounting Manager EMEA (m/f/d) to oversee accounting and closing activities for the region. You will be the key point of contact for coordinating processes between internal teams, the central accounting office, and external service providers.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate closing activities between internal functions, the CAO in Singapore, and Infosys as an external service provider.
- Partner closely with the EMEA Finance, Treasury, and Tax department.
- Own and partner with HR on payroll and pension accounting.
- Perform account and subledger reconciliation.
- Manage deferrals and accruals.
- Manage external service providers for IFRS vs. local GAAP translation where needed.
- Coordinate the end-to-end audit process with E&Y.
- Provide regular updates to local management on key variances in balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements.
- Support global systems and process harmonization initiatives.
- Actively engage in improvement initiatives like working capital optimization and process automation.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Accounting with a focus on IFRS and/or HGB.
- At least 7 years of experience in comparable roles.
- A proven track record in managing closing, consolidation, and audit processes.
- Practical, hands-on experience at a management level in all major accounting topics.
- A problem-solving mentality and a business partner mindset.
- Experience managing shared service centers or third-party providers.
- The ability to be a team player in a multinational matrix organization.
- Fluent proficiency in both English and German.
