As our Accounting Manager - Client Lead, you will lead financial operations for our clients, leveraging technology to streamline processes and deliver top-tier financial insights. You will serve as the primary client contact, manage client engagements, and provide leadership to the accounting team in our fast-paced, high-energy environment.
What You'll Do
- Meet with clients monthly and quarterly to review and present financial statements.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare accounting entries for client organizations.
- Assist with defining, benchmarking, and implementing operational best practices.
- Understand and manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, budgeting, and revenue recognition.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operational procedures.
- Help prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly financial statements for client organizations.
- Help manage the monthly close process for client organizations.
- Assist with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting processes.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
- Work in multiple software packages to facilitate billing, invoicing, inventory, reporting, and forecasting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key client relationships, maintaining regular communication and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide strategic financial advice.
- Manage client engagements to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the accounting team.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Advanced Proficiency in Excel to organize and interpret data, including formulas.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
- Self-starter who can work both independently and on a team.
- Flexible regarding peak-time work requirements.
- Ability to work well with individuals at all levels.
- Previous experience as an accountant, controller, accounting supervisor, or manager.
- Must have legal right to work in the US.
- Experience in the Full Accounting Cycle.
- Experience with Xero and QuickBooks Online.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree, CMA, or CPA certification.
