Responsibilities
- Reconstruct accounting systems for loans, credit cards, and cash advances by evaluating existing processes, fixing inefficiencies, and rebuilding them to meet high-growth, audit-ready standards.
- Manage the full accounting close cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue recognition, accruals, and cash tracking, ensuring it is timely, precise, and fully supported.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data, and Business Intelligence teams to integrate accurate accounting practices into new products at launch, not as an afterthought.
- Engage with FP&A, Capital Markets, and executives to align cross-functional initiatives, identify risks early, and prevent operational delays.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, internal controls, and audit trails that withstand external scrutiny from auditors, regulators, and compliance reviews.
- Oversee accounting for advanced financial products, including loan issuance, servicing, interest income, defaults, and credit line operations.
- Produce detailed, accurate workpapers and reconciliations that meet the highest standards expected by external auditors.
