Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and distribute relevant information across internal teams as needed
- Manage the workflow and tasks of the bookkeeping team
- Handle incoming mail by reviewing and distributing it appropriately
- Monitor daily client activity, ensuring timely responses and follow-up on pending issues
- Evaluate bookkeeping work including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, journal entries, general ledger accuracy, payroll, and financial statements
- Oversee cash management by reviewing bank balances and statements, and approving necessary fund transfers
- Download and track credit card transactions to detect fraud and monitor credit health
- Track insurance policy renewals and manage claims as needed
- Set up new clients, including establishing bank accounts
- Support clients with major purchases such as homes and vehicles
- Collaborate with internal departments to manage client contracts, royalty processing, and tailored financial reporting
- Assist in financial reporting tasks including 1099 preparation and quarterly or annual filings
- Complete additional assignments as directed
