Responsibilities
- Design and advocate for data-led paid search strategies that support client goals, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Deliver expert-level strategic guidance across all paid search domains, including campaign architecture, budget planning, audience targeting, value-based bidding for lead generation, ad creative testing, landing page improvements, and platform usage.
- Discover and leverage new developments in paid search, such as AI-powered automation and emerging ad formats, to give clients a strategic edge and guide adoption of AI-driven search practices.
- Manage, coach, and motivate a team of paid search professionals, promoting excellence, ongoing development, and career progression.
- Oversee team organization, staffing decisions, performance evaluations, and individual growth plans for direct reports.
- Ensure all paid search outputs meet quality benchmarks, follow established procedures, and involve effective coordination with offshore resources when needed.
- Act as the senior paid search advisor and main contact for major clients, cultivating trusted and lasting relationships.
- Lead client-facing meetings, strategy sessions, and performance reviews, clearly explaining complex search concepts and insights.
- Work closely with internal teams including media planning, digital performance, account management, analytics, and creative to develop cohesive media offerings.
- Contribute to new business initiatives and expansion opportunities by demonstrating paid search expertise and capabilities.
- Oversee the implementation and refinement of large-scale paid search campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Amazon Ads to meet aggressive KPIs, return targets, and financial goals.
- Conduct in-depth performance evaluations, detect key patterns, and convert findings into practical actions for ongoing optimization.
- Advance testing approaches—including A/B, multivariate, and incrementality testing—along with audience targeting and attribution models to enhance campaign efficiency.
- Maintain advanced proficiency with core search platforms such as Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, as well as bid management systems like Search Ads 360.
- Possess strong knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics, conversion tracking, data integration, and retail-specific platforms including Google Merchant Centre and product advertising techniques.
- Monitor platform updates, algorithm changes, privacy laws, and market shifts to adjust strategies proactively.
- Build and maintain strong connections with key platform partners such as Google and Microsoft, as well as industry stakeholders.
