Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced maintenance tasks involving welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.
- Oversee production zones to confirm machinery operates correctly.
- Rank work orders by urgency and assign mechanics accordingly.
- Instruct staff on safety protocols such as Lock Out Tag Out, powered industrial truck operation, scissor lift use, and fall protection.
- Repair, modify, and replace electrical and electronic components.
- Support the HAZMAT response team to maintain emergency readiness.
- Foster a culture of safety across all maintenance operations.
- Ensure required administrative tasks, including payroll documentation, are completed.
- Attend regularly scheduled or ad hoc meetings.
- Deliver prompt evaluations on employee training progress.
- Spend time on the plant floor verifying employee training comprehension through hands-on observation.
- Generate maintenance downtime reports for both corporate and on-site leadership.
- Assign maintenance tasks and special projects to team members.
- Manage the department’s budget in alignment with established limits.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections and resolve maintenance issues raised by production supervisors to support on-time start-ups.
- Evaluate maintenance-related purchase requests and forward them for approval.
- Handle additional duties as assigned.

- Demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Prior experience in safety practices is preferred.

- Support HR in maintaining correct pay records for hourly employees and accurate job placement documentation.
- Coordinate maintenance team duties and supervise equipment servicing.
- Take responsibility for identifying and resolving mechanical or technical issues that cause operational downtime.
