Responsibilities
- Interpret and derive actionable insights from spend analysis tools and client data.
- Offer procurement and analytical assistance to the Indirect Procurement team.
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze relevant data.
- Track, monitor, and report on the achievement of savings targets.
- Support the development of Quarterly Business Reviews, including analytics on sourcing progress and savings results.
- Provide ongoing analytical support to Category Directors, including root cause analysis, cost pattern analysis, SRM development, supplier scoring, and total cost reviews.
- Offer continuous analytical support to Sourcing Managers and the Center of Excellence (COE), including RFP results analysis, pricing comparisons, and savings calculations.
- Lead procurement and sourcing team activities to monitor spend under management and spend under contract.
- Review contracts for inconsistencies and suggest required SLAs to add value.
- Engage analytical resources at the COE to ensure timely delivery of financial information.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to finance for client invoicing.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as savings versus baseline, purchase compliance to contract rates, and usage versus demand management forecasts.
- Use operational data to drive process improvements, including value engineering of specifications, supplier consolidation, and geographic/freight-based opportunities.
- Ensure procurement activities align with all client policies and procedures, including legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain professional and courteous relationships with clients, vendors, and internal contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, economics, or accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in analysis, financial, and/or operational reporting roles.
- Proficiency with reporting systems, internet research, and general technical infrastructure.
- Expertise in Excel/financial analysis and planning.
- Ability to transform complex data into insightful reports.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with strategic sourcing, procurement, contract administration, and/or project management.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, make sound business decisions, and identify hidden opportunities.
