Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) is a public organization affiliated with the United Nations, working to advance justice and the rule of law in Thailand and globally. The institute focuses on promoting access to justice, reducing corruption, and supporting criminal justice reform through research, policy development, and capacity building.
TIJ drives initiatives such as the Bangkok Rules, which provide international standards for the treatment of women in prison, and leads programs in restorative justice, environmental justice, and justice innovation. It also strengthens justice systems through data and statistics, policy coordination, and international collaboration.
The institute operates TIJ Academy to build professional expertise, manages TIJ Common Ground as a platform for public dialogue on social justice, and supports Thailand’s journey toward OECD membership by strengthening rule of law frameworks.
