PNMA represents the infant food and young children’s food industry in Thailand.
One of the main objectives is to actively promote and support the government sector and nutritionists in building up a correct understanding among the public about nutrition that is good, safe and appropriate for infants and young children. The Association has six members.
PNMA is committed to complying with good governance in its business operations, as well as the international code on the marketing of breast milk substitutes, the WHO code and the Control of Marketing Promotion of Infant Food and young Children’s Food Act B.E.2017.
- To ensure that all members work in accordance with the PNMA code of Marketing Practices and the Control of Marketing Promotion of Infant Food and Young Children’s Food Act B.E. 2560 and encourage mutual monitoring and self-regulating among members
- To support government agencies and nutrition experts in creating correct understanding among the general public in relation to good, safe, and proper nutrition for infants and young children
- To provide Thai people an alternative of science-based nutrition products for infant and young children with international standard, quality and safety which are approved by the government agencies and nutrition experts
- To encourage members to collaborate with government agencies, healthcare professionals international trade organizations, non-government organizations and the general public
