Knowledge for Democracy Myanmar (K4DM) is an initiative that supports research and knowledge-building to advance democracy and development in Myanmar. It funds and promotes high-quality, policy-relevant research conducted by local researchers and organizations.
The initiative focuses on key thematic areas including democracy, decentralization, gender equality, peace and conflict, health, education, and climate change. Through research grants, fellowships, and knowledge exchange events, K4DM strengthens the capacity of Myanmar’s civil society and research institutions.
K4DM organizes Knowledge Marketplace events in the region to foster dialogue among researchers, activists, and policymakers. These forums enable the sharing of insights and strategies for democratic transformation and resilience in Myanmar.
