The Democracy Summer project trains and deploys the next generation of Democratic organizers and leaders to win elections all over America. Founded by Congressman Jamie Raskin, backed by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and supported by thousands of alumni, the program engages high school and college-aged young people in voter registration, canvassing, and digital political organizing.
Through online seminars with historians, law professors, political leaders, and activists, Democracy Summer provides an intensive education in the struggle for democratic freedom and effective political leadership. The program aims to mobilize and educate young people to defend and strengthen democracy across the United States.
