The mission of the Everyone Graduates Center is to develop and disseminate the know-how required to enable all students to graduate from high school prepared for college, career, and civic life. Through a systematic and comprehensive approach, EGC combines analysis of the causes, location, and consequences of the nation’s dropout crisis with the development of tools and models designed to keep all students on the path to high school graduation, and capacity building efforts to enable states, communities, school districts, and schools to provide all their students with the supports they need to succeed.
Everyone Graduates Center projects focus on identifying barriers that prevent students from graduating high school ready for adult success and developing strategic solutions to overcome them. The center emphasizes evidence-based interventions, such as early warning systems, comprehensive whole-school reform models, and innovations in curriculum and instruction, to improve student outcomes.
The organization also fosters partnerships among schools, families, and communities to strengthen student support networks. It leads initiatives like Diplomas Now and On Track to Career Success, and conducts research on teacher effectiveness, educational difficulty, and labor market linkages to inform policy and practice.
Based at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education, the Everyone Graduates Center serves as a national resource for educators, policymakers, and communities committed to increasing high school graduation rates and ensuring equitable opportunities for all students.
