ERIA is an international organisation established by the leaders of 16 East Asia Summit (EAS) member countries. It was founded in 2007 to support regional economic integration, reduce development gaps, and promote sustainable economic growth in ASEAN and East Asia.
The institute conducts research and policy analysis to facilitate the building of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and support broader regional cooperation. Its work spans key areas such as trade and investment, energy security, climate change, environment, digital economy, innovation, entrepreneurship, food security, and healthcare.
Headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia, ERIA serves as a credible policy think tank for the region, producing publications, hosting events, and fostering dialogue among experts, policymakers, and stakeholders across East Asia.
