Divine Research Inc. is building an unsecured lending system called Credit, designed to provide financial access to the 1.4 billion people worldwide who lack access to traditional credit. Traditional finance systems often exclude individuals due to requirements for credit history, collateral, or costly underwriting processes.
Credit uses stablecoins and a model of progressive trust-building, where loans start small and can grow up to $1,000 as borrowers demonstrate reliability. Since December 2024, the system has issued hundreds of thousands of loans to over half a million unique borrowers, helping them cover essential needs like groceries, medicine, and transportation.
Credit is accessible through the World MiniApp, enabling borrowers to request and receive funds in seconds. Capital providers can supply liquidity via credit.cash, with algorithmic interest rate adjustments and programmatic fund allocation.
