The hospital traces its roots back to 1888, beginning as Galt Hospital, the first community hospital in the Region of Waterloo. Over the decades, it evolved to meet the needs of a growing population, eventually becoming Cambridge Memorial Hospital. It is a proud founding member of the Cambridge North Dumfries Ontario Health Team, focused on transforming health care for the region.
