We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and community-focused Senior Program Manager to join our team. This hybrid position plays a pivotal role in advancing inclusive digital transformation by supporting internal operations and leading resident-centered engagement initiatives. You will act as a trusted advisor and operational partner to the IT Director, driving innovation, collaboration, and transparency across the city’s digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor and operational leader to the IT Director, helping shape and execute customer-first technology initiatives.
- Act as a representative for the IT Director in internal meetings, cross-departmental engagements, and public forums.
- Lead civic innovation efforts focused on digital inclusion, accessibility, and user-centered design.
- Oversee community engagement and civic tech programs, ensuring alignment with city goals and community needs.
- Coordinate executive communications and cross-functional project alignment across ODT teams.
- Manage relationships with constituents, nonprofit and community organizations, academic institutions, and the tech industry.
- Lead teams responsible for user experience (UX), customer research, stakeholder engagement, and vendor relations.
- Plan and execute citywide engagement events such as town halls, NPU meetings, road shows, and outreach events.
- Develop and oversee programs to collect, analyze, and implement public feedback for service improvement.
- Manage communications and media efforts, including podcasts, newsletters, and social media strategies.
- Lead training and customer service initiatives to improve public satisfaction and internal service delivery.
- Serve as a key representative in civic discussions, cross-agency collaborations, and external forums.
Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification required.
Extensive experience in community engagement in the City of Atlanta.
Proven leadership in program/project management, preferably in public sector or civic innovation.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate executive, community, and cross-sector environments.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Deep understanding of local government operations and digital transformation principles.
Work Schedule & Expectations
- Hybrid schedule: Primarily remote with required in-person attendance for meetings and events.
- Must be available for evening and weekend engagements as needed (schedule will be adjusted to remain within a 40-hour workweek).
